EMIGRATION TO AUSTRIA: THE BIG STEP

It was at the end of 2006 as we moved to Austria. It began with a holiday-feeling that we wanted to keep hold on. Dreaming that you always could be here, why not? Well, ... .. that's just such a comment? No. .. not.
Marcel was surprised, he thought I made a joke, but soon he knew I was serious about it. First there were a lott of reasons why we should not it. Our job , the beautiful house and the family we could not miss. Then it is always a dream, because there is always a reason why we should not do it. I knew enough to mention why we should do it! Well, there Marcel had to think about it again.

I did not give him a lot of time, because it could not go fast enough by me.
The routine was in my life now, I wanted to change . That I am someone who like a challenge my husband already knew. But that is a very big step. Many nights we talked about it before Marcelfelt the same. Now we had to inform the parents, because we had all this time kept our mouths about it.
We did not wan't the people to think we just were talking about something that never would happen. The hardestwere the parents, and at first they thought it only was a fad. Unfortunately for them, they soon knew it was notNow we had to sele the house, because we needed capital in Austria.
Within 2 weeks the house was sold to neighbors we already in our mind saw living in our house. Now we could tell other people about our plans, which we didn't before. That was in January 2007, in September that year we moved to Austria.

Transport of the caravanAt last we became the key

THE FIRST 3 MONTHS IN AUSTRIA

When we lived in the Netherlands, we went a couple of timesto Austria to view a property.
There was always something: house stood near the highway, beside a gas station or to remote.
Because it was not efficient we turned it around.Gastein was a nice place, here we saw ourselves living. We decided then that we first weregoing to emigrate and then find a suitable house. We lived the first 3 months in a large caravan on a caming. (We had the caravan transported from the Netherlands with special transportation) We did not want to spend our savings on rent, because was not clear how long our surch would take.

After 2 months we found our dream house.
We came by often, and found it a fantastic house. But did not know it was for sell!!
The agency thought this building was not what we were looking for, and therefore had not tolled us about it. This was just what we wanted! I still Remember the 1st time we visit it. We walked up the stairs and came at a huge long corridor where at the end was standing a wing! The atmosphere was great.
A house with a soul, a house in which we could putt a lott of love.
We were there at the right time. The owner Paul Franz Maier was deceased and a business observer wanted to sell the house as soon as possible. Paul Franz Maier, a wealthy man, had lost a lott of money the past years. But this house was our Luck.
